Matt Jermak ('92) gift of $200,000 aimed at program sustainability
The Marquette men's soccer program has received a generous philanthropic commitment, a $200,000 gift from alumnus and three-year letterwinner Matt Jermak '92. The gift will establish an endowed Excellence Fund aimed at program sustainability and advancing the men's soccer student-athlete experience at Marquette. Jermak's commitment represents a powerful investment in both competitive excellence and long-term program growth.
"With Coach Korn's leadership and his vision for the program, particularly with the emphasis on building a high-functioning culture and brotherhood for the past, present and future, I decided to step in with my contribution", said Jermak. "I'm hoping this is just the start, as I encourage others to join me in raising the student-athlete experience for Marquette men's soccer to a whole new level."
"We are grateful for Matt Jermak's leadership in establishing this endowed fund, and for the impact it will have on our men's soccer program," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Mike Broeker. "Matt's generosity and passion for Marquette is inspiring, and his gift will undoubtedly serve as a catalyst for increased engagement among our alumni and M Club membership."
"On behalf of our entire program, I want to sincerely thank Matt Jermak for his incredible generosity in establishing the endowed Excellence Fund," said head men's soccer coach David Korn. "This gift creates meaningful resources that will elevate Marquette Soccer immediately and sustain our pursuit of excellence for years to come."
Jermak's leadership commitment marks a pivotal step in the continued growth of Marquette men's soccer. Supporters interested in learning more or wishing to contribute to the growth of the endowment should contact Ryan Little at ryan.little@marquette.edu or 414-288-5512.
