Marquette prevails over Pirates

Completing play in a Conference USA regional invite, host Marquette bounced back against East Carolina to salvage the weekend. Having lost to Saint Louis University the previous day (4-0), the Golden Eagles ran their record to 4-4, as they defeated a sound Pirates squad, 4-2.

Raj Gill (no. 1), Troy Delmege (no. 2), Joe Bates (no. 5) and Creighton Macy (no. 6) all prevailed in singles play for the Golden Eagles. In doubles action, Marquette lost, 0-2.
