The Marquette men's tennis team took to the road, playing against the University of Southern Florida Bulls.
The Golden Eagles struggled against the Bulls, losing 7-0. The team played again without junior Justin Holsen, who sprained his ankle before Marquette played Eastern Illinois.
Taking Holsen's spot, senior Mark Thomas lost his second in a row to Nadim Naser, 6-0, 6-2. Unfortunately, the rest of the team also lagged.
In the No. 1 spot, sophomore Raj Gill (England), lost to Paco Antelo, 6-4, 6-0. Gill also lost in doubles action with freshman teammate Troy Delmege (Austrailia).
The Golden Eagles continue their southern swing tomorrow. They do not return home to Helfaer Tennis Stadium until they take on Northern Iowa on Feb. 15 at 4 p.m.
