Susan Barth Finishes 13th at NCAA National Championships

Marquette junior Susan Barth finished 13th overall in the 5,000-meters at the NCAA Indoor track and field championships in Fayettville, Ark.
Barth's time of 16:43.11 in the March 8th race was less than ten seconds from a top ten finish.
The winner of the race was Siri Alfheim of Oklahoma St. who won the race with a time of 16:12.28.
Barth qualified for the race following a 16:29.11 time at the Alex Wilson Invite on March 1. That time broke her own school record.
Barth was Marquette's first representative in the NCAA Indoor track and field championships since Anne Rygiewicz earned a spot in the shot put.
WIth the NCAA Championships, Marquette concludes its Indoor Track and Field season. The outdoor season starts on Thursday, March 14 at the Emporia State Twilight in Emporia, Kan.
