Charlotte, N.C. - In midst of their longest losing streak of the season, Marquette dropped its fifth consecutive match to UNC-Charlotte. The Golden Eagles are now 6-9 on the year, while the 49ers improved to 2-10.
The hobbled Golden Eagles once again played without their top player, sophomore Raj Gill (tendonitis right forearm). With players competing out of their customary spots, the 49ers prevailed 7-0.
Marquette will return to action this Wednesday at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium, when it hosts Northern Illinois. Play will begin at 4:00 p.m.
