The Marquette Golden Eagles ended a three game winning streak today, beating Conference USA rival Tulane in a tight 4-3 match.
The Golden Eagles won the doubles portion of the match, with sophomore Gen Charron and junior Anna Pavlovic beating Maria Ivanov and Joyce Bergman, 8-6. Sophomores Vero Briseno and Anabelle Espinosa teamed up to beat Julie Morris and Ana Saaibi, 8-5.
Espinosa and Pavlovic were also triumphant in their singles matches, defeating Morris and Maiko Cook, respectively. Also winning a singles match was sophomore Eva Herrera, who won 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 over Bergman.
The Golden Eagles move their record to 3-12, and continue in their conference USA matches, taking on South Florida on Thursday.
