Susan Barth and Brianna Dahm Earn Academic Honors

MILWAUKEE-- Susan Barth and Brianna Dahm, two key members of the Marquette University track and field team, have been recently chosen to the National Collegiate Division 1 Track Coaches Association 2002 All-Academic Track and Field Team.
Barth, a senior from Bluffton, Ind., finished in the top 20 with a GPA of 3.89 in her Exercise Science major. Among her track highlights last year were setting the school record in the 10,000 Meter Outdoor (34:12.72) and the 5000 Meter Outdoor (16:29.11). In addition, she set a personal best in the 3000 Meter while finishing first at the C-USA Indoor Championships.
Dahm, a junior from Two Rivers, Wis., was among the top 30 honorees with a 3.82 GPA in her Criminology/Psychology majors. Dahm was distinguished as the MVP of the 2002 track and field team. She qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the Steeplechase and she captured first place in the event at the C-USA meet. Dahm was also named the C-USA Athlete of the Year at the Outdoor Conference Championships.
