Susan Barth Named C-USA Athlete of the Week

Milwaukee-- For the second week in a row, Marquette cross country senior Susan Barth (Bluffton, Ind.) receives the honor of Conference USA Athlete of the Week.

Barth was recognized for her record-breaking performance last Friday (Sept. 13) at the Bradley Invite where she set the course record in the 5-K run by finishing first in a field of over 200 runners with a time of 17:17. Her effort in the run helped Marquette to a first place team finish.

Last week, Barth along with teammate Jessie Swan (West Allis, Wis.), were both made athletes of the week when they tied for first place at the Purdue Open (Sept. 7) with a time of 22:03.

Barth is set to run next at the Murray Keatinge Invitational on Oct. 5th in Orono, Me.
