Men's Tennis Leaves Alabama Winless

Milwaukee-The Marquette men's tennis team lost yesterday to the Auburn, 6-1, dropping its season record to 2-10. The Golden Eagles are returning after a two game road trip to Alabama. The squad lost to UAB on Friday, 6-1.
Troy Delmege was the only Golden Eagle to claim a victory against Auburn. He won his No. 3 singles match, 7-5, 6-1, over Markus Schiller. Delmege improves his record to 3-9.
Raj Gill fell in the No 1. singles match as he was outlasted by Gabor Zoltan Pelva, 7-6, 6-1. Gill, after taking the only Marquette win against UAB on Friday, is 3-5 on the season.
The team leader in wins, Eigintas Vedrickas, saw his record drop to 8-15 after he los the No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-1, to Andy Colombo.
Justin Holsen fell in the No. 4 singles match, 6-3, 6-2, to Andre Boz. Holson owns a 3-9 season record.
In No. 5 singles, Creighton Macy was defeated, 6-1, 6-0, to Tom George. Macy's record now stands at 5-16.
Ian Kawas lost the No. 6 singles match to Rinat Sikdar, 6-2, 6-4. Kawas is second on the team in wins with his 7-11 record.
Marquette lost the team point in doubles as all three pairs were defeated. Gill/Holsen lost, 8-2, to Colombo/Zoltan Pelva. Kawas/Delmege was defeated, 8-3, by George/Schiller. Finally Vedrickas/Macy, lost, 8-2 to Boz/Sikdar.
The Golden Eagles return to action March 27 at Northern Illinois in DaKalb, Ill at 2 p.m.
