Dahm Earns C-USA Athlete of the Week Honors

Marquette junior Brianna Dahm was named Conference USA Athlete of the Week today. Dahm won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a season-best time of 10:10.09 at the Central Collegiate Championships last weekend. She was named Most Outstanding Athlete at the meet, while also improving her time as the best in Conference USA and the fourth best in the nation.
Dahm's had previously qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional Meet in the 3,000-meter-steeplechase and with Saturday's time, solidified her position. Dahm has also qualified for the Regional meet in the 1,500m (14th best in Mideast) and the 5,000m (17th best in Mideast).
Dahm picks up Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season (Indoor Track, Feb. 18th) and the third time in her career (Apr. 30, 2002).
The Marquette men's and women's track and field teams will be back in action at the Badger Twilight in Madison, Wis. on Saturday, May 10. Action begins at 2 p.m.
