?We?re making progress,? coach Steve Rodecap said. ?These guys have a lot to be proud of.?
Included in a list of things to be proud of is freshman Tomek Czernuszewicz?s first collegiate win against Chicago State?s Jose Flores. He took that match 6-1, 6-0. Rodecap is also proud of the play of sophomores Ricky Servoss and Ian Kawas.
Having two matches with no Marquette losses has given the team momentum going into it?s last two regular season games against DePaul and Saint Louis. The Golden Eagles lost to Depaul on February 28th, 3-4.
?We?re a whole different team right now,? Rodecap said. ?We?ve come such a long way from where we were at the beginning of the season and now we have two winnable matches before heading to the conference tournament.?
Marquette takes on DePaul on the road on April 7th at 3 p.m.
