Golden Eagles Track and Field Travel To Two Meets

As the school year winds down for Marquette, the track and field season is heating up as the Conference USA Championships are just two weeks away for the Golden Eagles. Marquette will be sending athletes to two meets this weekend, the Butler Twilight on Saturday and the North Central Invite today.

Marquette distance runners senior Susan Barth, sophomore Jodi Jakubek and sophomore Brent Des Roches are all set to travel to Indianapolis for the Butler Twilight. All three will participate in the 5,000m. The meet will take place at the IUPUI Outdoor track.

The rest of the Golden Eagles will travel to Naperville, Ill. to North Central College. Junior Ryan McAbee, who broke a 43 year old Marquette Pole Vault record last weekend, will try to improve on that mark this weekend at the North Central Invite.

Results will be posted from both meets as soon as they become available.
