Women' Tennis Beaten by the Hoosiers, 7-0

The Hoosiers swept Marquette early in doubles action, clenching the doubles point. Francina Bonnelly and Elsemike Dokter lost at No. 1, to the duo of Sara Batty and Kara Zeder, 8-6. At No. 2, Indiana?s Laura McGaffigan and Dominika Walterova paired up to take down Dominika Dabrowski and Erin Watkins, 8-2.
The Golden Eagles tried to rally heading into singles play but lacked the intensity needed to overtake Indiana?s nationally ranked team.
Maria Calbeto played the No. 1 spot for Marquette, losing to (#84) Dora Vastag, 6-0, 6-0. Dominika Dabrowski lost to Kara Zeder, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 5.
The Golden Eagles will regroup quickly, as they face Louisville tomorrow morning at the IU Varsity Tennis Center.
