Manual Resistance Front Raise

| Muscles Used | Primary: anterior deltoid. |
| Starting Position | Stand upright with the feet staggered. Arms should be extended with palms facing away (backwards). |
| Description | Raise arms forward and upward until they are slightly higher than parallel tot he floor, pause momentarily for one second at the midrange, then lower arms to starting position. |
| Spotting | Face the lifter with one foot forward and apply resistance on top of the wrists by cuffing the wrist. As the lifter raises his/her arms, the spotter may step away from the lifter, and then back in again during the lowering phase to allow for full range of motion. |
| Points To Emphasize | 1. The arms should remain extended at the elbow throughout the exercise. 2. Pressure should be applied on top of the wrists throughout the entire exercise. |
