Manual Resistance Hip Flexion

| Muscles Used | Primary: iliospoas, iliacus, and rectus femoris |
| Starting Position | It is best if each leg is done individually. Lie on your back, with your legs fully extended. |
| Description | Lift your leg up towards the chest flexing the knee and the hip joint as you lift upwards (lift as high as you can). As you return to the starting position extend the knee and hip. |
| Spotting | Stand beside the leg being exercised. Provide resistance above the knee with one hand and with the other hand on the lifter's ankle. |
