| Starting Position | Sit in the seat with your back flat against the pad, your outer thighs against the pads and feet flat. |
| Description | Push the legs apart as far as possible by pushing against the thigh pads. Pause momentarily and then recover to the starting position. |
| Spotting | Be prepared to assist the movement at the pads. |
| Points To Emphasize | 1. do not bend forward to help move the weight. |
