Marquette Invitational Cancelled

MILWAUKEE - Due to the recent inclement weather, the Marquette Invitational has been cancelled for April 13-14. No make-up date for the meet will be scheduled.

"It is with regret that we must cancel the meet," said head coach David Uhrich. "The weather forecast is looking better for Friday and Saturday, but we have no guarantee that the recent snowfall will be melted before competition begins on Friday. The throwing events are our biggest concern, with a safety issue for both athletes and officials."

Six men and seven women, all throwers, will instead travel to the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill., to compete in the Illinois Invitational held on Sunday.
