PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The no. 6 seeded Marquette men's tennis team will face the no. 3 seed USF on Friday, April 20, at Noon in the first round of the BIG EAST Men's Tennis Championship at the Varsity Tennis Center in Tampa, Fla.
The two teams met earlier this season on March 10 where the Bulls swept the Golden Eagles, 7-0, on their home court.
"USF is a very talented team and will be playing on their home courts so we know that they will be a tough challenge," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "We felt that we didn't play well the first time we played them and our guys are looking forward to this opportunity to face them again."
Notre Dame received the top seed while defending BIG EAST Champion Louisville received the no. 2 seed. DePaul and St. John's round out the top five at no. 4 and 5, respectively.
Rodecap is one win shy of his 100th career victory. He is 99-87 all-time in eight seasons as a head coach.
