Pole vaulters Kristin Stoniecki and Zach Pawlowski highlighted the Mike Poehlein Invitational last weekend for MU, each stamping their names into the record book. Stoniecki tied the school mark when she cleared 11-11.75 on her second attempt, while Pawlowski broke his own record, clearing 15-7 on his first try.
Senior Damian Anisko also had a big day at the meet, qualifying for the NCAA Regional with a hammer throw of 183-7, five inches from tying the school record.
In just two meets this season, the Golden Eagle men have qualified 10 student-athletes for the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships in 13 events. The women have qualified nine in 11 events.
This meet will serve as the final tune-up for the teams before hosting their only home meet of the season, the Marquette Invitational, April 13-14.
