Soccer mom camp was a great experience for me.
It allowed me to get out of my routine and socialize in a healthy, energizing way. The coaches took the time to work with us on an individual basis and their passion for the game was inspiring. Their passion for raising funds and awareness for breast cancer was even more inspiring. It was apparent that there was a great deal of time and energy spent organizing and running this event.
On the field you have many women from different backgrounds who all come together to enjoy a night of camaraderie and friendly competition. The soccer mom camp is a model for what it means to be a healthy woman.
A healthy woman is not only physically active, but also takes the time to enjoy a hobby or a passion of her own. She reaches outside her comfort zone in order to better herself, which becomes contagious to those around her.
Throughout our lives most of us will be touched by breast cancer. This dual purpose camp allows us to contribute to the fight against breast cancer while contributing to the healthy women that we strive to be. I am looking forward to next year!
