MILWAUKEE - Marquette junior Bernard Rahming started and played all 90 minutes for the Bahamian national team in a 6-1 win over the U.S. Virgin Islands in Caribbean Football Union Olympic Qualifying Tournament in the Bahamas on September 2.
Rahming started in the defense and helped guide the Bahamas to the win in Group F. The win propelled the island nation to the second phase of qualifying to be held in October.
Rahming's cap was not his first. He also earned caps in November of 2006, playing for the Bahamas in the Digicel Caribbean Cup. He was a starter against Bermuda and St. Vincent & Grenadines in the second round of the tournament. He recorded an assist against St. Vincent.
