Golden Eagles Add Juan-Martin Paredes To Roster

Milwaukee - The Marquette University men's tennis team has added Juan-Martin Paredes to the roster for the remainder of the 2007-08 campaign and the native of Ecuador is an immediate lineup option for head coach Steve Rodecap.

"It's exciting to add a player with Juan-Martin's experience level and participation in international events," Rodecap said. "He will add a lot to the team and fits in with the rest of the guys. We are looking forward to getting him out there."

One of the top prep players in South America, Paredes was ranked as high as fourth in U14's and saw his ranking move as high as ninth at the U16 level. He was a member of the Ecuador Junior Davis Cup team, which competed at an international event in Spain and earned a third-place finish.

Paredes earned an ATP point in 2006 and was ranked as high as 160th in the International Tennis Federation world rankings.
