MILWAUKEE - Marquette University welcomes the Kentucky men's soccer team to Valley Fields this Saturday, April 12. Start time for the spring exhibition match has been moved to noon. There is no cost of admission during the spring season and all soccer fans are welcome to attend.
In addition to an extensive training and fitness program, head coach Louis Bennett and the Golden Eagles' staff continues to develop its young, talented crop of players through an off-season regimen that has included a well-balanced and competitive spring schedule [Link to 2008 Spring Schedule].
Marquette spent four days training and playing in Florida this past March and kicked off a slate of home exhibition matches open to the public beginning with its annual Blue & Golf game played at The Valley last Saturday.
In addition to this weekend's head-to-head match-up with the Wildcats, MU will host Lincoln College and Cardinal Stritch the following Saturday, April 19. Later this month, the Golden Eagles will welcome state rivals UW-Milwaukee, UW-Green Bay, and UW-Madison to Valley Fields for the first-ever Wisconsin Spring Cup.
