Head Coach Terri Mitchell
On the game...
"In the first half we played them possession by possession, but when we got in foul trouble, that's when they took a lead. In the second half, we matched them basket for basket. We shot the ball well and were very aggressive with the basketball, but we did not make the defensive stops we needed to. The two glaring things were our rotations and how many rebounds we gave up. These things are very correctable. Nobody likes to lose, but I see some things that are very positive out of the game. We are going to get back to work and prepare ourselves for one of the best teams in the country, No. 8 Louisville. Monday night's game is extremely important for many reasons. We have a lot of fight in us and we will get better. There is Monday night and then the conference tournament to play which will be so important as we want to end the season strong."
On the play of sophomore reserve Jasmine Collins...
"We have given so many different players minutes this season and I am so proud of the way Jasmine Collins played tonight. Here is a player that has been on the bench so much and every practice she has come out and worked hard. She used all of that in the game. In seven minutes she shot 5-for-5 and got two offensive rebounds. She played with all of her heart and never gave up. That showed me something about her and that fighting mentality is so important to our program."
