Holly Robertson Wins Carthage College Invitational

KENOSHA, Wis. - Marquette freshman distance runner Holly Robertson won the Carthage College Invitational Friday afternoon and helped the MU women to a first-place finish in the 6-kilometer race at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course. The men also competed and finished second behind Carthage College.
Robertson led MU in a time of 23:31.0, while fellow freshman Grace Magliola (23:55.4) and Rebecca Pachuta (24:02.0) followed in second and third place, respectively. Hannah Frett (fifth, 24:19.1) and Melissa Budelier (seventh, 24:54.7) were the other Golden Eagles to compete at the meet.
Junior Jack Hackett led the contingent of Marquette men with a second-place finish.
Most of the Golden Eagles will compete Saturday afternoon at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational in Madison, Wis.
