?Marquette is 4-2 all-time against Providence. The win snapped its two game skid against the Friars.

? Marquette moved to 9-5 in BIG EAST play. The nine wins are the match second-most in BIG EAST play since MU joined the conference in 2005-06.

? Marquette used the starting line-up of Angel Robinson, Courtney Weibel, Sarina Simmons, Paige Fiedorowicz and Jasmine Collins for the first time this season. It is only the second different starting line-up MU has used this season. Robinson, Fiedorowicz, Simmons, Tatiyiana McMorris and Katherine Plouffe had started the first 26 games of the season.

? Angel Robinson played all 40 minutes for the seventh time this season.

? The second half of play featured three tie scores before Marquette pulled away with its 16-2 run over the final 5:35 of the game. The Golden Eagles owned their first lead of the game, 50-48, with 3:59 to play.
