Preseason Rolls On With a Pair of Exhibition Matches

MILWAUKEE -- This weekend the Marqueutte University men's soccer team embarks on its first and only road trip of the 2012 preseason with exhibition matches against Xavier and Wright State.
On Friday, Aug. 17, the Golden Eagles will play Xavier at Hefner Fields in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as part of the National Soccer Festival on the campus of IPFW. Kickoff against the Musketeers is 4 p.m. Central Time.
The event also features host IPFW, fellow BIG EAST schools Louisville and Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Duke, Ohio State, Indiana and Mexican professional side Chiva Guadalajara.
From there, Marquette will pack its bags for its final preseason tune-up of the preseason when the Golden Eagles head to Wright State University for a match against the Raiders at 11 a.m. CT, on Sunday, Aug. 19.
