MILWAUKEE -- Marquette University assistant coach Nick Vorberg was named the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Goalkeeper of the Year, the league announced Wednesday.
It's the second time that Vorberg, a goalkeeper with the Milwaukee Wave, has won the award after helping the Wave to a 21-5 record in 2012-13, including a franchise-record 16-game winning streak, en route to an All-MISL First Team selection.
Vorberg also claimed the MISL's top goalkeeper award following the 2009-10 season.
Vorberg was a standout in goal for the league's best defense, finishing with a .812 save percentage in 14 regular-season appearances. In addition, he led the league with a 7.76 points-against average.
