Charlie Lyon Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE - Golden Eagles goalkeeper Charlie Lyon became the third different Marquette University men's soccer player in as many weeks named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced Monday.

Lyon, a redshirt junior from St. Charles, Ill., earned his third clean sheet of the season in Marquette's 3-0 home victory over Loyola Chicago on Saturday. Lyon faced seven shots and recorded three saves en route to his 13th career shutout.

The Chicago Fire Academy product has played every minute in goal for the Golden Eagles this season. Lyon has a 1.11 goals against average through the team's first seven games and his 22 saves is currently tied for fourth in the BIG EAST.
