MU Sweeps Green Bay, 7-0

MILWAUKEE- The Marquette women's tennis team (4-0) dominated Green Bay this evening sweeping Green Bay, 7-0 at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
Senior Ana Pimienta and junior Erin Gebes continued their strong play winning their fourth consecutive doubles match defeating Green Bay on the No. 1 court,6-0.
Senior Ali Dawson and junior Aleeza Kanner won their match 6-1 on the No. 2 court, as did sophomore Diana Tokar and freshman Paula Tormos Sanchez at No. 3 doubles.
Marquette swept all six singles matches and no match reached a third set. Kanner made quick work of her opponent and won 6-0, 6-0, while senior Vanessa Foltinger defeated her Green Bay competitor 6-0, 6-1.
The Golden Eagles finish up their five-game homestand on Friday, Feb. 6 at 4 p.m. Central time against Bowling Green at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
