
Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Marquette University women's soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2015-16 academic year.
The recognition marks the 21st time that Marquette has earned the award and the eighth-straight season that both the men and women have been honored.
To qualify, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The Golden Eagles held a 3.39 grade point average during the 2015-16 school year.
Juniors Caroline Fink, Kirsten Timmer and redshirt freshman Courtney Dugan all finished the 2015-16 year with 4.0 grade point averages and 25 of the 35 on last year's squad were named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
