The Marquette University men's tennis team (4-4) is set to continue non-conference action at rival No. 56 Wisconsin Saturday, Feb. 27. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
Marquette dropped a 6-1 decision at No. 64 Purdue last Saturday, Feb. 20. Junior Kristiyan Trukov claimed the only singles win for the Golden Eagles at the No. 4 position with 6-4, 6-3 victory over Lucas Dages.
"It's going to be a big challenge, but we are looking forward to it," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "The two teams are obviously very familiar with each other and we had some good matches this fall at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic."
Last week Saturday, Feb. 13, the No. 56 Badgers (6-0) downed BIG EAST member DePaul 7-0. The most notable win within the six-game winning streak occurred on Feb. 7 when Wisconsin downed No. 23 Minnesota, 4-3.
Before playing Marquette, Wisconsin is set to challenge No. 3 TCU on Friday, Feb. 26 in Madison, Wis.
The Golden Eagles will return home to Helfaer Tennis Stadium Wednesday, March 2 as they take on NIU at 6 p.m. Central time.
