The Marquette University men's tennis team (4-1) closed out its season-long homestand with its fourth-straight victory, downing SDSU 7-0 Friday night at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

The Golden Eagles opened the match by claiming the doubles point with wins the No. 1 and No. 2 positions and didn't drop a set in singles action en route to the sweep.

For the second-straight night MU was shorthanded, missing three players to injury and illness.

Marquette returns to action Feb. 11 when the team faces Utah State in Tucson, Ariz.
