
Marquette Claims 5-2 Victory Over UMKC

The Marquette University men's tennis team (12-4) opened its weekend trip to Omaha, Nebraska, with a 5-2 non-conference win over UMKC (8-7) Saturday afternoon.
The win was the seventh-straight for Marquette.
The Golden Eagles opened the match by claiming the doubles point, earning victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. MU was able to secure singles wins by Luke Smrek, Greg Anderson, Kristiyan Trukov and Brett Meyers.
The Golden Eagles will face BIG EAST opponent Creighton at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday morning to cap the weekend.
