Maddy Henry named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Henry made 10 saves against No. 4 Georgetown and earned a clean sheet at Creighton
NEW YORK - Junior goalkeeper Maddy Henry of the Marquette University women's soccer team earned a spot on the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her play against No. 4 Georgetown and at Creighton.
Henry posted 10 saves, her second-highest mark of the season, against the Hoyas on Thursday evening and made four stops in a return to her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday afternoon against the Bluejays. Henry's play against Georgetown held the Golden Eagles in the match before ultimately surrendering a 2-1 double overtime loss. The junior made a big save on a penalty kick with MU on top 1-0 in the 66th minute before allowing a pair of late goals.
Henry also notched her fifth clean sheet of the year against Creighton and earns her first BIG EAST honor of the season after claiming three BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week accolades in 2017 as a sophomore.
The Golden Eagles conclude their season on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Valley Fields against Seton Hall at 7 p.m. Central time. Marquette's senior class will be honored following the match in a special ceremony.
