Marquette student-athletes joined BIG EAST member institutions in advancing the It's On Us Initiative
Marquette University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) joined the member institutions of the BIG EAST Conference in the It's On Us Fall Week of Action, part of a nationwide initiative to change the culture around sexual assault on college campuses.
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 22, BIG EAST members have engaged with It's On Us through social media and video messaging, while taking part in initiatives on campuses around the league.
SAAC members from Marquette organized the production of a video supporting the movement and imploring others to take the It's On Us pledge (link: https://www.itsonus.org/pledge/) - the video will be shared on numerous platforms, and used as a public service announcement shown during Marquette men's basketball games at Fiserv Forum this season, as well as on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
It's On Us, Marquette. All of us. Let's be the difference.

On campus, SAAC invited Marquette University's Counseling Center to set up a table at Thursday night's women's soccer match at Valley Fields to create awareness for the service and its availability to MU students. In addition, Cu, the center's therapy dog, visited the Al McGuire Center on Wednesday.

ABOUT IT'S ON US (From itsonus.org)
Launched in September 2014, It's On Us is a national movement to end sexual assault. The campaign was launched following recommendations from the White House Task Force to Prevent Sexual Assault that noted the importance of engaging everyone in the conversation to end sexual violence. It's On Us asks everyone – students, community leaders, parents, organizations, and companies – to step up and realize that the conversation changes with us. It's a rallying cry to be a part of the solution. The campaign combines innovative creative content and grassroots organizing techniques to spark conversation on a national and local level. Over the past two years, almost 300,000 people have taken a stand against sexual violence by taking the It's On Us pledge. The campaign works with 95 partners and students on over 500 campuses.
