Baird Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month: Markus Howard

Howard is on the NCAA Men's Basketball Oversight Committee
Men's basketball player Markus Howard is the Baird Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for October as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff. Howard is a junior digital media major who was named a member of the NCAA Men's Basketball Oversight Committee in December of 2017.The Chandler, Arizona native has been an active member of Marquette's Student Athlete Advisory Committee and participated in a 'Courts for Kids' service trip to Costa Rica during the summer of 2018. As MU's SAAC BIG EAST representative, Howard also attended a conference this summer to shed light on the student-athlete experience.
Howard also started a Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at Marquette this fall with men's lacrosse player Nick Singleton.
