
Women's soccer earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

The Golden Eagles posted a 3.61 cumulative grade point average for 2017-18
KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The Marquette University women's soccer team was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches, formerly NSCAA, with the Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom for the 2017-18 academic year.

Each year, the United Soccer Coaches honor college programs for their work in the classroom that meets or exceeds a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the entire academic year. A total of 489 women's soccer teams earned accolades for the 2017-18 academic term.

The recognition marks the 21st time on the list for the Golden Eagles, who boasted a 3.61 cumulative grade point average last school year.

The squad's success in school also earned 22 of its members BIG EAST All-Academic accolades for 2017-18.
