
Marquette Takes Down Seton Hall, 4-1

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J.--The Marquette women's tennis team won its sixth consecutive match on Friday, earning a 4-1 victory at Seton Hall to begin a weekend on the east coast.
Marquette (11-7) earned the doubles point as the No. 1 tandem, Fleur Eggink and Natalija Popovic claimed a 6-2 win, while No. 2 team Paula Tormos Sanchez and Andrea Amortegui earned a 6-3 win to get on the board first.
In singles action Popovic won her match, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, while Lesley Foe topped her opponent and pulled out a 6-2, 7-6 (5) win on the No. 5 court for MU's third point before Tormos Sanchez clinched the victory, winning at No. 1 singles, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Marquette remains out east and will take on St. John's at 11 a.m. CT from Queens.
