MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University women's tennis team blanked Creighton 4-0 on Friday night to win its fourth match in a row.
Marquette (9-7) earned three points in singles play on the strength of Natalija Popovic, Fleur Eggink and Isabella Franks, who each won in straight sets. In doubles play, the pairing of Popovic and Eggink won 6-2 while Lesley Foe and Franks secured the point with a 6-0 victory.
Creighton (12-6) had won seven-of-eight matches coming into Friday's match but failed to earn any points against Marquette and lost each game in straight sets.
The Golden Eagles continue weekend action as they host Xavier Sunday, April 8 at 1:30 p.m. Central time.
