Bri Jaeger earns first BIG EAST weekly honor

Jaeger scored her second career goal to snap Milwaukee’s 27-match unbeaten streak
NEW YORK – Redshirt junior defender Brianna Jaeger of the Marquette University women's soccer team earned recognition on the BIG EAST Conference's Weekly Honor Roll for her play in a 1-1 week, which included a 1-0 victory over Milwaukee on Sept. 17.
Jaeger scored the match winner against the Panthers in the 73rd minute on a header off a free kick from freshman Katrina Wetherell. The tally was the second of her career and the first since Sept. 10, 2017 at Rhode Island.
The Cedarburg, Wisconsin Native played all 180 minutes in the matches against UWM and Butler as Marquette's starting center back.
The honor is the first BIG EAST athletic accolade of Jaeger's career.
The Golden Eagles resume league play on Thursday afternoon at Villanova in a match broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network at 3 p.m. Central time through FOX Sports Go.
