Women's Tennis Concludes Day Two at Indiana

Five singles victories highlight the slate
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- The Marquette women's tennis team turned in a strong performance in day two at the Indiana Winter Invitational as five singles victories highlighted the schedule.
Natalija Popovic and Milica Novokovic topped Wright State 6-3, while Fleur Eggink and Lesley Foe teamed for a 6-3 win also over Wright State in doubles play.
In singles action Novokovic fought to a 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 win over Abilene Christian and Eggink turned in a swift 6-1, 6-1 win topping ACU as well.Â
Foe, Alexandrina Chinikova and Isabella Franks were also victorious in the singles round with all defeating opponents from Wright State.
Play concludes at IU on Monday and the Golden Eagles will then look towards opening dual play on Jan. 26.
