Griffin Jende Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

The redshirt junior tallied his first two goals at MU on Tuesday night
NEW YORK – Marquette University men's soccer forward Griffin Jende was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll, the league office announced on Monday.
The redshirt junior out of Waukesha, Wisconsin earned his first career start on Tuesday night against Green Bay and made it count. He scored the first two goals of his career in a 6-1 rout of the Phoenix, playing a career-high 56 minutes. Three of his four shots on the game came on goal.
Coming into the game on Tuesday, Jende had played 79 career minutes and had yet to tally a point. He started his second consecutive game on Saturday night against Providence.
The Golden Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 19 for a BIG EAST matchup on the road against the Villanova Wildcats. First touch is set for noon (CT) in Villanova, Pennsylvania.
