Men's Tennis Continues Fall Play At ITA Regional

The Marquette University men's tennis team continues the fall portion of its 2019-20 campaign this weekend at the ITA Midwest Regional, hosted by Ohio State.

The Golden Eagles will send six players to the event, who will compete in both singles and doubles competition at both the OSU Varsity Tennis Center and Racquet Club of Columbus. Traveling to OSU are Luke Smrek, Brett Meyers, Luis Heredia Gomez, Fran San Andres, Brandon Shanklin and Stefan Dragovic.

"This is always one of the best events of the fall because it features many of the top players in the region," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "It gives us a good opportunity to see how we stack up against the other programs and evaluate the improvement we have made this fall."

Play at the 19-team event begins Thursday morning with qualifying draw action. The field includes eight nationally-ranked singles players and five top-60 doubles tandems.
