Baird 'Blue & Gold' Student-Athlete of the Month: Marin McClowry

McClowry earned BIG EAST All-Academic honors each of her first two years on campus
Junior women's track and field member Marin McClowry is the Baird Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for October as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
An psychology major, McClowry has achieved College of Arts and Sciences Dean's List, BIG EAST Academic Honor Roll, and Athletics Director's Honor Roll accolades each of her two years at Marquette. She plans to join Chi Alpha Sigma (National Honor Society for Student-Athletes) this fall and is one of the track and field team's representatives to MU's chapter of SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee).
McClowry was also selected to the Athletic Leadership Connection Conference, sponsored by the Women's Sports Foundation. She will spend two days this month at their offices in New York City, where she will expand her networking skills and learn more about careers in athletics. McClowry worked in marketing for the Milwaukee Brewers during the 2019 summer, and occasionally made appearances at home games as one of the Racing Sausages.
The Neenah, Wisconsin, native also works for the Marquette Athletics tickets office, and has a job as a barista on the side.
During the 2018-19 season, McClowry earned All-BIG EAST accolades for indoor high jump, as well as during the 2017-18 season. During her freshman season, she was the BIG EAST Champion for indoor high jump. She boasts a personal best of 1.73 meters for high jump, and a time of 26.54 for the 200 meter outdoor event.
