Eggink, Foe and Franks win at singles
MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's tennis team won its third straight home game at Helfaer Tennis Stadium on Friday night as the Golden Eagles pulled through to a 4-3 victory over Western Michigan.
Marquette (3-2) started on a strong note winning the doubles point as Fleur Eggink and Natalija Popovic earned a 7-5 win at No. 1 as Milica Novakovic teamed with Isabella Franks for a 6-5 victor yon court three.
Eggink was again victorious in singles action claiming an 0-6, 6-2, 7-6 win in the top spot, while Lesley Foe and Franks also earned wins at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions, respectively,
The Golden Eagles will look to remain unbeaten at home tomorrow when the squad hosts Illinois State at 2 p.m. CT.
