Marquette Drops a 4-0 Decision at Loyola Marymount

Golden Eagles continue spring break trip out west
LOS ANGELES, Calif.-- The Marquette women's tennis team opened its spring break trip on the west coast on Monday with a 4-0 loss at Loyola Marymount.
The Golden Eagles (8-5) fought hard in doubles, but the Lions claimed the victory to start the match and took three singles wins to earn the win. Fleur Eggink played again at the No. 1 position falling, 6-3, 6-1, while Milica Novakovic dropped a 6-0, 6-2 spot on the No. 3 court. Natalija Popovic had fought in a second frame along with LIsabella Franks on court No. 5, but Loyola Marymount clinched the victory.
Marquette is enjoying a spring break trip playing in the western sunshine and will face UC-Santa Barbara on Wednesday, March 13.
