Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. CT on the BIG EAST Digital Network
PROVIDENCE, R.I.-The No. 13/12 Marquette women's basketball team will conclude the 2018-19 regular season on Sunday as the Golden Eagles travel to Providence for a 12 p.m. CT tip-off at Alumni Hall.
Â
The Golden Eagles (23-6, 14-3) still look for one more victory to assure sole possession of the BIG EAST regular season title after Marquette fell in a 71-65 decision at Creighton on Friday night. Natisha Hiedeman and Amani Wilborn combined for 22 and 21 points, respectively, but though the Golden Eagles mounted a late, fourth quarter rally they could not close out the win.
Â
This is the second straight season that Marquette has won at least a share of the BIG EAST title and earned the number one seed in the BIG EAST Tournament. The Golden Eagles open play on Sunday, March 10 at 12 p.m. CT against the winner of the No. 8/No. 9 matchup, still to be determined.
Â
OPPONENT
