MU looks to extend home winning streak

The Marquette University men's tennis team (7-6) hosts a pair of matches this weekend at Helfaer Tennis Stadium, welcoming both Villanova and Youngstown State to campus.

First serve against the Wildcats is set for 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 23 and the Penguins visit campus at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, March 24.

The Golden Eagles have won 16-consecutive home matches dating back to the beginning of the 2017-18 campaign and are 5-0 at home this season. Marquette will finish the season with 4-of-6 on the road prior to the start of the BIG EAST Championship,

"We have done a great job of defending our home courts and hope for that to continue this weekend against two well-coached programs," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "Our challenge is to figure out how to bring that momentum with us on the road,"

Following this weekend's action, the Golden Eagles will travel to Omaha, Nebraska, for a pair of matches next weekend.
