Meyers earns team victory
The Marquette University men's tennis team (11-6) posted a 7-0 victory at Creighton Sunday afternoon, earning the team's fourth-straight win.
The Golden Eagles are now in possession of three road victories this season and are 4-0 against BIG EAST programs. MU still has a trio of league matches left against St. John's, Butler and Xavier.
MU opened the match with wins at No. 1 and 3 doubles to earn the point and the top of the lineup quickly posted straight-set decisions by Alvaro Verdu, Luis Heredia Gomez and Brett Meyers to earn the team win.
The team returns to action on Friday, April 5 when the team hosts Wright State at 11 a.m. CT.
